Interesting coin in nice condition with word play. The word "denga" means "money" in general and this particular denomination simulteniously. The Rev. depicts a dragonslayer. This very uncommon denga is without mintmark. Bitkin suggests that the coin was struck at Moscow Red mint. The motif came from Ancient Egypt, where a total solar eclipse was first explained as a combat between the Sun God and the Serpent. Later it became embedded in the basic myth and one of its transformations is attested by this Rev.
