Interesting coin of the early type of the republic in beautiful condition with inscription on the edge! Being crescent represent the Moon, the common mistake about its transparency was solved by issuing this coin: the star is situated aside of the lunar disk. But the issue present new outstanding mistake. The Moon does not have atmosphere and looks practically as a ball. That is why the light illuminating it from aside produces shape which starts and ends on opposite via center points. Being crescent represent the Moon, it should not have too long "horns" of light which almost touch each other, instead of, their tips should be on diameter opposite to each other. The lettering TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ on the edge was incused so deep that rim on both sides of the coin deformed. It is normal for such technology. Rare outstanding condition with mint bloom.
