The country lost territories one by one. The Leningrad mint was evacuated deeply in the USSR in 1942 and the new mint just started coinage. In fact there were many more other urgent things, than coin production. Only next year, when Stalin skillfully cut off the main forces of invaders the outcome of this war was determined. That brought to restoration of massive coin production. As the result this coin represents dramatic period of the existence of progressive country, which just in a few years opened space for the whole humanity.
