Dutch Zaan (Zaandam) Style Wall Clock
Decorative weight-driven clock with moon phase
Offered for auction is a Dutch Zaan / Zaandam style wall clock, inspired by traditional Dutch clocks of the 17th–18th century.
The clock features an elegant painted wooden case in white with rich gilded ornamentation. The brass dial displays Roman numerals, decorative engravings, and a moon phase aperture. It is fitted with a mechanical, weight-driven movement operated by two brass weights and chains.
This clock is a well-made late 20th-century decorative reproduction, produced in the Dutch Zaan style. It is not an original 18th-century antique, but a high-quality interior and collector’s piece.
