RARE SET OF 5 SILVER COINS OF 100 RUBLES - "TRANSNISTRIA FORTRESSES", MINTED BY THE TRANS-DNIESTER REPUBLICAN BANK IN 2006, 2007 AND 2008. 

THE LOT CONTAINS 5 DIFFERENT FORTRESS.

* Tiraspol Fortress
- represents the fortress of Tiraspol. Reverse An image of an ancient fortress of Tiraspol by the river Dniester is in the centre. The stylized rosette with the inscription "1793" indicating the year the fortress of Tiraspol was founded is at the top . A ribbon with an inscription (The Fortress of Tiraspol) in Cryllic is below the rosette. The name of the series in Cryllic (Ancient fortresses by the river Dniester) is written in semicircle along the edging at the bottom. Obverse There is an image of the State Emblem Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika in the centre, circled by an inscription (Pridnestrovskiy Respublikanskiy Bank) in Cyrillic above the image along the edging and an inscription (100 rubles) in Cyrillic. An inscription "2006" indicating the year is below the image of the State Emblem.

* Fortress of Bendery
- represents the fortress of Bendery. Reverse An image of an ancient fortress of Bendery by the river Dniester is in the centre. The stylized rosette with the inscription “1538” indicating the year the fortress of Bendery was founded is at the top. A ribbon with an inscription (The Fortress of Bendery) in Russian is below the rossette. The name of the series (Ancient fortresses on the river Dniester) in Russian is written in semicircle along the edging at the bottom. * Sorokskaya Fortress
- represents the ancient fortress of Sorokskaya. Reverse An image of an ancient fortress of Sorokskaya by the river Dniester is in the centre. The stylized rosette with the inscription in Cyrillic (XVI th century) indicating the period the fortress was founded is t the top. A ribbon with an inscription (The Fortress of Sorokskaya) in Cyrillic is below. - represents the ancient fortress of Kamenets-Podolskiy. Reverse An image of an ancient fortress of Kamenets-Podolskiy by the river Dniester is in the centre. The stylized rosette with the inscription (XIV th century) indicating the period the fortress was founded is t the top . A ribbon with an inscription in Cyrillic (The Fortress of Kamenets-Podolskiy) in Russian is below. The name of the series in Cyrillic (Ancient fortresses on the river Dniester) in Russian is written in semicircle along the edging at the bottom. * Belgorod-Dnestrovskaya Fortress
- The obverse design features the State Emblem of Transnistrian Moldavian Republic in the centre of the coin. Around the rim of the coin, there is the legend “Transnistrian Republican Bank” in Cyrillic. The lower part of the coin comprises the inscription of the coin’s face value as well as the year of its mintage.
A common reverse design for all coins to be released in this series carries the embossed image of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky fortress with the legend “Ancient fortresses on the Dniester River” below it. In spite of many historical events that took place in the fortress, it is one of the few historical monuments in Ukraine that preserved its original structure from the Middle Ages. The upper part of the reverse comprises the ribbon-like inscription “Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Fortress” and the century of the fortress completion above it.
